Sanitary, easy-to-clean and slip-resistant with outstanding thermal shock protection, chemical and impact resistance, and traffic endurance.
Food processing facilities require a durable floor surface that’s sanitary, slip-resistant and easy-to-clean, along with the capability to withstand a variety of tough conditions including: thermal shocks from spilled or splashed hot liquids, repeated wash-downs and harsh cleaners, as well as material handling traffic and impacts from dropped objects—all of which can shorten floor service life.
Fortunately, a properly specified and installed seamless flooring system from PermaFloor will stand up to harsh food processing environments. Our seamless floor systems provide outstanding protection against thermal shock, chemical attack and harsh cleaning techniques including steam cleaning. Topcoats are waterproof and stain-resistant for easy cleaning and the seamless design has no cracks or dirty grout lines to harbor bacteria or mold. Formulations are impact resistant and able to handle forklift and steel wheel material handling traffic. Optional formulations with slip-resistant texturing and/or anti-microbial additive are available.
We understand each floor is subjected to a unique set of circumstances and conditions, which is why we begin with careful consideration of the operating environment and matching those conditions with an appropriate floor surfacing system. Cleaning techniques, exposure to chemicals or cooking oils, temperature fluctuations, thermal shocks, impacts, and traffic wear are all examined in order to create a sanitary, long-lasting floor that is easy to clean and maintain.
